Transition.

Neat picture.  Unintentionally shows the evolution from bicycle to motorcycle.  I'm not sure what the motorcycle on the far right is.  This engine location and bicycle type fork were used by several manufactures.  Around 1902 Lamson, Keystone, Auto-Bi, Morgan and Michigan were all making motorcycles similar to the one above.  I believe the other two motorcycles are Indians.

  1. Cool photo, the bike to the right I would say is either a Marks, a California or an early Yale that was developed from the other two.
