I think the foreground bike is a not earlier than -33 with the new feature of a convex front light lens and the older type gear transm. primary drive, or perhaps it is a -34 with that years chain transm. primary drive. In the background is a -34 Sport Scout or -35 Chief with its duck tail fenders and lower placed rear light than the high placed rear light that came with the -36 yr model.
(I think the foreground bike is a not earlier than -33) Chief that is. The bike has been repainted as the tank decals is missing, so the pic must have been taken at some later years.
Thanks for the info Charlie. I keep my copy of Standard Catalog of American Motorcycles by my computer. I find it fun to try and identify the bikes in these old pictures.
