I think the foreground bike is a not earlier than -33 with the new feature of a convex front light lens and the older type gear transm. primary drive, or perhaps it is a -34 with that years chain transm. primary drive. In the background is a -34 Sport Scout or -35 Chief with its duck tail fenders and lower placed rear light than the high placed rear light that came with the -36 yr model.

  2. (I think the foreground bike is a not earlier than -33) Chief that is. The bike has been repainted as the tank decals is missing, so the pic must have been taken at some later years.

  3. Thanks for the info Charlie. I keep my copy of Standard Catalog of American Motorcycles by my computer. I find it fun to try and identify the bikes in these old pictures.
