Schwinn Traveler.

The lady behind us mentioned that she couldn't ride her bicycle anymore.  She is getting older and was having trouble with her boys framed Schwinn.  I offered to build her a single speed cruiser with a girls frame.  In return she gave me her old Schwinn.  I decided to turn it into a single speeder.  New deep V rims and tires.  New chain ring from Porkchop and some Shimano 600 pedals from my parts bin.  The seat has been moved from one bicycle to another in my collection.  It isn't very comfortable but it is all I have at the moment.  Not sure what to do with the bars.  Bull horns, straight bar or keep them?

This little gem is for sale on Ebay right now.  Made in Germany!

Group shot.

Hard to tell but, it looks like an Excelsior and a bunch of Harleys.

Thor project.

I decided to build an electric bike.  I was inspired by a build found by my buddy Al.  Here is the website for the inspiration. http://www.vintageelectricbikes.com/#!home/mainPage I think I can duplicate the bike for around $1000.00  I found the bicycle on Ebay for $300 delivered to my door.  The decals were also on Ebay.  I haven't decided which electric wheel kit yet.  So far I have just assembled the bicycle.  The bars and stem are not stock.  I plan to weld some truss rods onto the fork.  I will have to change the front wheel and tire to 26" to match the rear with the motor.  The front hub should be upgraded anyway.  The Chinese hubs are notoriously poor quality.
