Harley Davidson bobber / cutdown photos.
Photos taken in San Jose California. Bike appears to have modified fenders, added brace between the seat and chain stays. Custom exhaust as well. It still wears the stock fenders in the bottom picture.

Calling this a race may be inaccurate. It was more of a speed event. Everything from bicycles to cars ran the event.

Rare doesn't even come close to describing this machine. Mr Hafelfinger exhibited his first engine in January 1901. Before the boys at Indian got theirs done. He later took his skills to Royal.
